AOD9604 Lyophilised Peptide
AOD9604 is a synthetic 16-residue peptide derived from the C-terminal region (residues 177-191) of human growth hormone. It has been studied in rodent metabolic models and a rabbit joint model. AOD9604 is supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial, in 10 mg, priced RM 160. No certificate of analysis has been published for the batch on sale yet, so no purity figure is claimed on this page. Ships within 2 working days of payment. What research says about AOD9604
AOD9604 is a synthetic 16-residue peptide derived from the C-terminal region (residues 177-191) of human growth hormone. It has been studied in rodent metabolic models and a rabbit joint model.
In obese mice it increased fat oxidation and plasma glycerol (an index of lipolysis) without competing for the hGH receptor or inducing cell proliferation (Heffernan 2001).
Investigational; no marketing authorisation was identified and a ClinicalTrials.gov search for 'AOD9604' returned no registered studies.

In obese Zucker rats, 19 days of oral AOD9604 was associated with over 50% less body-weight gain than control and increased adipose lipolytic activity, with no adverse effect on insulin sensitivity.

In ob/ob mice, AOD9604 reduced body-weight gain and raised fat oxidation without hyperglycaemia and did not bind the hGH receptor.
