About neuropeptides and melanocortins
PT-141, the research name for bremelanotide, is a cyclic heptapeptide that acts as an agonist at melanocortin receptors, mainly MC3R and MC4R. It is derived from melanotan II, has been through phase 3 clinical trials, and has an approved prescription use in the United States, which its page states and does not extend to research material. Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide built as a stabilised analogue of the immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin, extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence to resist breakdown. It has been studied in rodent models and in small clinical studies reported in the Russian literature, and its page notes where a study's English title is a translation.
As on every page here, each product lists its vial sizes with prices and stock, the identity data (CAS number, molecular formula, molecular weight and sequence where public), supplier storage figures, and the studies behind it, each linked to its PubMed record or DOI. Both compounds are sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or veterinary use and not for consumption.
